Spend 3 days discovering Auckland, New Zealand — Temperate maritime climate — mild, humid summers (highs around 23-24°C) and cool, wet winters (highs around 14-15°C), rarely extreme in either direction. December-February (summer) for warm weather and outdoor activities; September-November (spring) for fewer crowds. This itinerary blends Sky Tower, Auckland War Memorial Museum, Auckland Domain with free time to explore at your own pace, backed by round-trip flights, handpicked accommodation, and a dedicated travel consultant from enquiry through departure.
DAY 1
Land at Auckland Airport (AKL) and take your included private transfer to your hotel. After settling in, ease into the trip with a relaxed visit to Sky Tower — Southern Hemisphere's tallest tower, with an observation deck and SkyJump/SkyWalk options. Round off the evening with a welcome dinner introducing you to local flavors.
DAY 2
Morning visit to Auckland War Memorial Museum — Natural history, Māori and Pacific culture, and war history collections. In the afternoon, continue to Waiheke Island wine tour — Ferry to a vineyard-covered island in the Hauraki Gulf. Evening free to explore local restaurants and nightlife.
DAY 3
Enjoy a final morning at leisure — perhaps one last visit to Rangitoto Island volcano hike or some souvenir shopping — before your private transfer to AKL for your departure flight.

Our trip to Auckland was fantastic from start to finish. The hotel was clean and well located, and the guided visit to One Tree Hill / Maungakiekie was a real highlight. Airport transfers were on time both ways.

Auckland is stunning and this package covered the essentials well, especially Wynyard Quarter. The hotel could have been a little closer to the center but transport was easy.

We added a couple of optional activities beyond Wynyard Quarter and don't regret it. Good value for what was included, and the food recommendations from our guide were spot on.

Rangitoto Island volcano hike alone was worth the trip, but combined with Auckland War Memorial Museum this itinerary really delivered. Breakfast at the hotel was good every day and the local guide was knowledgeable.
