Spend 14 days discovering Cusco, Peru — High-altitude (~3,400m) mountain climate with cool days and cold nights year-round (highs around 19-20°C, dropping toward 17-18°C in the wetter months) and a pronounced dry season (May-September) versus wet season (December-March) with big diurnal temperature swings. May to September is the dry season with the clearest trail and mountain conditions, though also the busiest and coolest window (chilly nights); shoulder months (April, October) offer fewer crowds. This itinerary blends Machu Picchu, Sacsayhuamán, Plaza de Armas, Cusco with free time to explore at your own pace, backed by round-trip flights, handpicked accommodation, and a dedicated travel consultant from enquiry through departure.

Our trip to Cusco was fantastic from start to finish. The hotel was clean and well located, and the guided visit to Humantay Lake day trek was a real highlight. Airport transfers were on time both ways.

We added a couple of optional activities beyond Humantay Lake day trek and don't regret it. Good value for what was included, and the food recommendations from our guide were spot on.

Booked this as a family of 4 trip and it was well paced. Plazoleta de San Blas in particular stood out. A couple of the transfers ran a little late but nothing that spoiled the trip.

Maras Salt Mines and Moray terraces tour alone was worth the trip, but combined with Mirador de San Cristóbal this itinerary really delivered. Breakfast at the hotel was good every day and the local guide was knowledgeable.
