Kyoto 5-Day Cultural Tour
Overview
Spend 5 days discovering Kyoto, Japan — Humid subtropical climate with cool, dry winters (highs 9°C) and hot, humid summers (highs 33°C) in Kyoto's basin setting, which traps heat more than coastal cities. Late March to early April (cherry blossoms) and mid-to-late November (autumn foliage) are the most spectacular, and most crowded, times to visit. This itinerary blends Kinkaku-ji (Golden Pavilion), Nijo Castle, Fushimi Inari Taisha main grounds with free time to explore at your own pace, backed by round-trip flights, handpicked accommodation, and a dedicated travel consultant from enquiry through departure.

Arashiyama Bamboo Grove & Tenryu-ji Temple alone was worth the trip, but combined with Arashiyama Bamboo Grove path this itinerary really delivered. Breakfast at the hotel was good every day and the local guide was knowledgeable.

Kyoto is stunning and this package covered the essentials well, especially Nishiki Market food tasting tour. The hotel could have been a little closer to the center but transport was easy.

We added a couple of optional activities beyond Yasaka Shrine and don't regret it. Good value for what was included, and the food recommendations from our guide were spot on.
