Spend 5 days discovering Rishikesh, India — Foothill climate milder than the plains below: warm summers (highs 32-36°C in May-June), a wet monsoon June-September that raises the Ganges, and cool, pleasant winters (highs 18-20°C, chilly nights near 5-8°C). September to April for pleasant trekking and rafting conditions (highs 20-30°C); the Ganges is at its highest and most thrilling for rafting just after monsoon (Sep-Oct). This itinerary blends Ganges white-water rafting (Shivpuri to Rishikesh), Kaudiyala rafting stretch, Laxman Jhula with free time to explore at your own pace, backed by round-trip flights, handpicked accommodation, and a dedicated travel consultant from enquiry through departure.
DAY 1
Land at Dehradun (Jolly Grant) Airport, nearest gateway (DED) and take your included private transfer to your hotel. After settling in, ease into the trip with a relaxed visit to Ganges white-water rafting (Shivpuri to Rishikesh) — Grade II-III rapids on the Ganges, the region's signature activity. Round off the evening with a welcome dinner introducing you to local flavors.
DAY 2
Morning visit to Kaudiyala rafting stretch — Longer, wilder rapids further upstream for experienced rafters. In the afternoon, continue to Bungee jumping, Jumpin Heights — India's highest fixed bungee platform, near Mohanchatti. Evening free to explore local restaurants and nightlife.
DAY 3
Morning visit to Giant swing and flying fox, Jumpin Heights — Additional adventure activities at the same adventure park. In the afternoon, continue to The Beatles Ashram (Chaurasi Kutia) — Abandoned ashram where the Beatles wrote much of the White Album, now covered in murals. Evening free to explore local restaurants and nightlife.
DAY 4
Full-day excursion to Haridwar, a popular side trip from Rishikesh. Return to Rishikesh in the evening with time free to explore on your own.
DAY 5
Enjoy a final morning at leisure — perhaps one last visit to Neer Garh Waterfall entry or some souvenir shopping — before your private transfer to DED for your departure flight.
Most foreign nationals require an Indian e-Visa applied for online before travel. Indian citizens need no visa, and OCI/PIO cardholders travel visa-free with a linked foreign passport — relevant for the many diaspora visitors who come specifically for yoga teacher-training programs.

Rishikesh is stunning and this package covered the essentials well, especially Kaudiyala rafting stretch. The hotel could have been a little closer to the center but transport was easy.

We added a couple of optional activities beyond Swarg Ashram area and don't regret it. Good value for what was included, and the food recommendations from our guide were spot on.

Our trip to Rishikesh was fantastic from start to finish. The hotel was clean and well located, and the guided visit to Neer Garh Waterfall entry was a real highlight. Airport transfers were on time both ways.

Triveni Ghat alone was worth the trip, but combined with The Beatles Ashram (Chaurasi Kutia) this itinerary really delivered. Breakfast at the hotel was good every day and the local guide was knowledgeable.
