Allegiant Air Overview & Policy Summary
Allegiant Air connects small and mid-size US cities directly to leisure destinations — Florida, Las Vegas, Phoenix and coastal markets — on routes no other carrier serves nonstop. Most routes operate only two to four times a week, which is the defining constraint: if your flight is cancelled, the next one may be three days away.

Allegiant frequently asked questions
What happens if my Allegiant flight is cancelled?
Because most Allegiant routes operate only two to four times a week, the next available flight can be several days out. Under DOT rules you are entitled to a cash refund rather than a credit if you decline the rebooking — on Allegiant this is often the more practical choice.
What is Allegiant Trip Flex?
An add-on bought at booking that permits one free change or cancellation. Given that standard Allegiant fares are otherwise inflexible and routes are infrequent, it is the practical way to buy flexibility.
Does Allegiant fly to major airports?
Often not. Allegiant deliberately uses secondary airports — Orlando Sanford rather than Orlando International, Phoenix-Mesa rather than Sky Harbor, St. Petersburg rather than Tampa. Factor the ground transport cost and time into the fare comparison.
