Spend 2 days discovering Amman, Jordan — Semi-arid climate — hot, dry summers (highs around 32-33°C) and cool, sometimes wet winters (highs around 12°C, occasional snow in Amman). March-May and September-November, for mild temperatures ideal for exploring Petra and desert sites on foot. This itinerary blends Petra Archaeological Park, Jerash Roman ruins, Rainbow Street with free time to explore at your own pace, backed by round-trip flights, handpicked accommodation, and a dedicated travel consultant from enquiry through departure.
DAY 1
Land at Queen Alia International Airport (AMM) and take your included private transfer to your hotel. With limited time on the ground, head straight out to Petra Archaeological Park — UNESCO World Heritage rock-cut city, including the Treasury and Monastery. Round off the evening with a welcome dinner introducing you to local flavors.
DAY 2
Start early with a visit to Jerash Roman ruins — One of the best-preserved Roman provincial cities outside Italy. Grab a last taste of local life before your private transfer to AMM for your onward flight.
Most nationalities, including the US, UK, EU, Canada, Australia, and India, can obtain a visa on arrival or e-visa; travelers booking through a licensed tour operator for 2+ nights often qualify for a free "Jordan Pass" visa waiver that also bundles Petra entry.

We added a couple of optional activities beyond Rainbow Street and don't regret it. Good value for what was included, and the food recommendations from our guide were spot on.

Our trip to Amman was fantastic from start to finish. The hotel was clean and well located, and the guided visit to Amman Citadel was a real highlight. Airport transfers were on time both ways.

Downtown Amman souqs alone was worth the trip, but combined with Dead Sea float and mud spa this itinerary really delivered. Breakfast at the hotel was good every day and the local guide was knowledgeable.

Booked this as a solo trip and it was well paced. King Abdullah I Mosque in particular stood out. A couple of the transfers ran a little late but nothing that spoiled the trip.
