Shimla 3-Day Nature Retreat
Overview
Spend 3 days discovering Shimla, India — Temperate Himalayan foothill climate: mild summers (highs 22-25°C, a welcome escape from the plains below), a wet monsoon July-August that can trigger landslides on access roads, and cold winters (highs 8-10°C, with occasional December-January snowfall). March to June for pleasant, mild weather (highs 20-25°C) before monsoon, and December-February for a chance of snow; avoid July-August landslide-prone monsoon rains on the mountain roads. This itinerary blends Kalka-Shimla Toy Train, Viceregal Lodge (Indian Institute of Advanced Study), The Ridge with free time to explore at your own pace, backed by round-trip flights, handpicked accommodation, and a dedicated travel consultant from enquiry through departure.

We added a couple of optional activities beyond Scandal Point and don't regret it. Good value for what was included, and the food recommendations from our guide were spot on.

Mashobra adventure zip-line park alone was worth the trip, but combined with Viceregal Lodge (Indian Institute of Advanced Study) this itinerary really delivered. Breakfast at the hotel was good every day and the local guide was knowledgeable.
