Sweden travel insurance
Sweden has an insurance rule, but it doesn't apply to most US travellers — here's who it binds, and what cover is actually worth carrying.
The rule: Schengen visa applicants must show travel medical insurance with at least €30,000 of cover, valid across the whole Schengen area for the full stay — applications without a compliant certificate are refused.
On a US passport: US passport holders travel visa-free to the Schengen area for short stays, so this rule does not apply to you and no proof of insurance is checked at the border.
